Shares of PepsiCo, Inc. (NYSE:PEP) ended Thursday session in red amid volatile trading. The shares closed down -0.16 points or -0.15% at $105.92 with 3.58 million shares getting traded. Post opening the session at $105.85, the shares hit an intraday low of $105.29 and an intraday high of $106.17 and the price vacillated in this range throughout the day. The company has a market cap of $152.64 billion and the numbers of outstanding shares have been calculated to be 1.43 billion shares.

PepsiCo, Inc. (PEP) reported results for the second quarter of 2016.

Reported net revenue declined 3.3 percent. Foreign exchange translation had a 4-percentage-point unfavorable impact and the Venezuela deconsolidation had a 2.5-percentage-point unfavorable impact on reported net revenue. Organic revenue, which excludes the impacts of foreign exchange translation and structural changes, grew 3.3 percent.

Reported gross margin expanded 115 basis points, while reported operating margin expanded 105 basis points. Core gross margin expanded 75 basis points and core operating margin expanded 80 basis points. Reported and core margin expansion reflects the implementation of effective revenue management strategies and productivity gains, partially offset by a 50-basis-point increase in advertising and marketing expense as a percentage of sales.

Reported operating profit increased 2 percent and core constant currency operating profit increased 4 percent. The deconsolidation of our Venezuela operations had a 2.5-percentage-point unfavorable impact on both reported and core operating profit.

Shares of Altria Group Inc (NYSE:MO) ended Thursday session in green amid volatile trading. The shares closed up +0.15 points or 0.24% at $62.69 with 4.91 million shares getting traded. Post opening the session at $62.46, the shares hit an intraday low of $62.15 and an intraday high of $62.99 and the price vacillated in this range throughout the day. The company has a market cap of $123.57 billion and the numbers of outstanding shares have been calculated to be 1.95 billion shares.

Altria Group Inc (MO) announced that its Board of Directors (Board) declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.565 per share. The current annualized dividend rate is $2.26 per share. As of July 22, 2016, Altria’s annualized dividend yield was 3.3%. Altria paid more than $1.1 billion in dividends in the second quarter and $2.2 billion for the first half of 2016. Altria expects to continue to return a large amount of cash to shareholders in the form of dividends by maintaining a dividend payout ratio target of approximately 80% of its adjusted diluted EPS. Future dividend payments remain subject to the discretion of the Board.
