Local health coalition meets in preparation in case of pandemic flu


A set of over 115 healthcare companies – along with representatives of Floyd and Polk Counties – met recently for a workout to prepare a response in the event of pandemic flu will be a truth.

The tabletop training, a gathering to talk about a simulated emergency, was targeted to bridge country, network, and organizational preparation, and to bridge gaps and improve health care for failure through a regional method.

The tabletop training was subsidized and hosted by the environment C Health Care and Security Preparation Coalition at West Georgia Technical University in Waco on August 8, following a press release of the Georgia branch of public health.

The coalition is one of fourteen in the empire and consists of Bartow, Carroll, Chattooga, Coweta, Floyd, Haralson, Heard and Polk counties.

The coalition is trying to increase a nearby method to get ready and provide health care during a disaster.

“While a disaster strikes a community or an area, the entire health care machine could be affected and should respond,” said Emergency Preparedness Director for the Georgia Department of Public Fitness Northwest Fitness District’s Shaun Emblem. “All health care organizations, from the largest health center to a small community sanatorium, want to work together in a coordinated style to respond properly to catastrophe and painting for recovery.”

The coalition is financed through the workplace of the Deputy Secretary for Preparation and Response in the Department of Health and Human Services. ASPR is designed to prevent compounding and respond to the adverse health effects of public aptness emergencies and glands.

The Coalition is open to hospitals, EMS providers, emergency control, public health organizations, primary caregivers, network health care facilities, public health care homes and care centers, dialysis facilities, pharmacists, hospice, long term caregivers, mental health carriers, schools, professional service providers, Governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations and specialized hobby companies.
